Dhamma Canda Pabhā Center, Chantaburi



Dhamma Canda Pabhā
means “The Glowing Moon of Dhamma”. Dhamma Canda Pabhā is the 9th center in Thailand. The first 10-Day course was offered in April 2013.

Dhamma Canda Pabhā was built on 3.6 acres of land in Amphur “Pong Nam-Ron”, Chantaburi Province. It is situated approximately 220 meters above sea level. The center is surrounded by small hills and mountains. Chantaburi Province is in the Eastern Region of Thailand; the province is renowned for various tropical fruit plantations. The famous “Soi-Dao” mountain is to the north-west of the center and the “Kitcha-Kood” mountain is to the south-west of the center. There is a medium to strong breeze passing through the center all year round.

The Dhamma Canda Pabhā Center

The Dhamma Hall building is environmental friendly with energy-efficient cooling and thermal protection. With a total area of 333.38 square meters inside the hall and 64.8 square meters of surrounding area, the hall can accommodate up to 100 meditators.

The Multi-purpose Building has an area of 241.92 square meters. The hall is served as a dining, registration, and orientation hall.

There are 2 separate residences for male and female ATs (Assistant Teachers).

Meditator residences for male and female are separated on each side of the dhamma hall. Each meditator will have a private, single room with attached shower & toilet including a small balcony. Male residence comprises four rows of long buildings; 22 rooms in total. Female residence comprises seven rows of long buildings; 48 rooms in total. All rooms do not have air-conditioning.

The center office and kitchen are located outside the meditation area to ensure absolute silence within the meditation area.


Dhamma Canda Pabhā Vipassana Center accommodates up to 70 students: 22 males and 48 females. The accommodation is simple - private single rooms with ensuite bathrooms (no air-conditioning).
