After being accepted into a course, if your plans change in any way, please notify us immediately.

Please make all of your travel plans (to and from) before arriving at the center, as you will not have access to communication devices from the time the course begins until after the course is completed. Students should make proper travel arrangements, allowing sufficient time for travel to and from bus and train stations and airports.

The Vipassana meditation center is located in Khon Kaen Province, 31 kilometers out of the downtown center, near Don Mong Village on Highway 12. The center is about 480 kilometers or 6 - 7 hour drive from Bangkok.

    On the day the course begins we provide our ride service only From Khon Kaen downtown to Dhamma Suvaṇṇa Meditation Center. Please wait around platform No.8-10 (Nakornchai Air Terminal) of the 3rd Air-con bus station on Rob-Muang Road.

    Please notice the sign "Dhamma Suvaṇṇa" holding by our staff and be on time. The ride will leave at 3.30 pm. At the destination, you will be charged 200.- Baht by cash for a round trip.

    Please notify us by sending an e-mail to [email protected] at least 3 days in advance, if you wish to accompany our organized transport service. Otherwise there might be no available seat left.

    On the last day, the organized transport will depart from the center at 7.15 a.m. and will arrive Khon Kaen Air-con Bus Station about 8.30 a.m.

     
  •     ›› Car / Car Rent from Khon Kaen Downtown or Airport

    From Bangkok: Khon Kaen is about 449 kilometers from Bangkok. Please take the Phaholyothin Road (National highway No. 1) turn right at Saraburi 107 kilometers. To Mitrapab Road (National highway No. 2) from Nakornrajsrima to Khon Kaen. Take National highway No.12, Khon Kaen-Chumpae. At this point watch out the kilometer marking 31 kilometers on the road. Then u-turn and turn left into a small local road opposite Jorakaevithayayon School and travel another 2.7 kilometers, the meditation center will be on your right.

    Car Rent from Khon Kaen downtown: If you want to hire a car from Khon Kaen downtown or Khon Kaen airport to Dhamma Suvaṇṇa Meditation Center, please contact 090-3753543, 080-3505015. The fee is about 400 Baht.

    From Bangkok to Khon Kaen downtown
    - Take the bus named “Nakornchai Air” at Bangkok's Northeastern Bus terminal “Morchit 2” or Nakornchai Air center at Kumpangpetch 2. Depart at 8.00 am. which will arrive at the 3rd Khon Kaen Bus station, Rob-Muang Road at 2.30 pm. (recommended as it is punctual) For booking call 1642

    - The other buses leave from Bangkok's Northeastern Bus terminal "Mor-Chit 2" every hour. The bus ride takes about 7-8 hours from Bangkok to Khon Kaen. The bus will stop at the Bus terminal in Khon Kaen downtown. For more information call 02-9362852-66, 043-239910

    From Khon Kaen downtown to Dhamma Suvaṇṇa
    From the 3rd Khon Kaen Air-con Bus Station, take a bus on route to “Chumpae”. Ask the driver to stop at Don Mong which is about 32 kilometers far from Khon Kaen downtown. Then, take a public motor-cycle service about 5 minutes to Dhamma Suvaṇṇa.
