Travel Information by Land and Rail
Dhamma Puneti is located in Tambol Kok Sa-ard, Amphur Muang, Udon Thani province. The center is 21 km away from Udon Thani International Airport and 26 km away from Udon Thani Railway Station. The center is about 100 kilometers or 2 hours’ drive from Vientiane, Laos.

From Bangkok:
Udon Thani is about 570 kilometers from Bangkok. Please take the Phaholyothin Road (National highway No. 1) turn right at Saraburi 107 kilometers. To Mitrapab Road (National highway No. 2) from Nakornrajsrima to Khon Kaen. From Khonkaen, travel on Mittraphab road, follow the sign to Udonthani, turn left at Udonthani bypass (Ban Chan Intersection) going toward Nong Bua Lamphu. Turn left onto Highway 210 Udonthani-Nong Bua Lamphu. Pass the Chiang Phin Self-Sufficient Settlement (Km. 12), turn right at Km. 15.
Upon reaching Huai Luang Police Station (There is a sign pointing the way to the Dhamma Puneti Center) along the rural road 3072 about 5 km (there is a sign pointing the way to the Dhamma Puneti), turn right onto a small road and follow the sign to Dhamma Puneti 1.5 km.
Go to North-Eastern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit 2 Bus Terminal), located on Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road. Upon reaching Udonthani Bus Terminal 1 (near Central Udonthani) take a local bus, normally the bus leave from Bangkok in the night time and arrive Udonthani in the morning.
From Udonthani Bus Terminal 1, take a taxi toward Dhamma Puneti (located in Tambol Khok Sa-At where before Huai Luang Dam), about 20 km, around 30-40 minutes. The fare is approximately 400 baht. You can call taxi from Grab or Maxim Application.
There is train between Bangkok-Udonthani-Nonkhai. Upon arriving Udonthani, hire a taxi or van to take you to Dhamma Puneti. The main railway station in Bangkok is Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal (also known as Bang Sue Grand Station).
From Udonthani airport, you can easily contact the Limousine Service Counter at the arrival hall in the airport to take you to Dhamma Puneti (located in Tambol Khok Sa-At where before Huai Luang Dam), about 20 km, around 30-40 minutes. The fare is approximately 400 baht. OR you can call taxi from Grab or Maxim Application.
Bus from Vientiane to Udonthani depart from Vientiane Capital Bus station at 8.00 am, 10.00 am, 12.00 am, 2.00 pm, 3.00 pm, and 6.00 pm.
Bus from Vientiane to Nongkhai depart from Vientiane Capital Bus station at 7.30 am, 10.00 am, 3.00 pm, and 6.00 pm. then take minivan to Udonthani.
