Phitsanulok has a hot, tropical climate with high temperatures throughout the year and considerable rainfall in the rainy season. There are only three seasons:



The hot season (February – April): temperatures are very high, and light rain can be expected periodically. The average temperature is 32 degrees Celsius (89.6F). The temperature can reach as high as 42 degrees Celsius (107.6 F).

The monsoon season (May – October): while temperatures are not as high as the hot season, the humidity is high during the monsoon season. The average monthly precipitation is 198.5 mm.

The cool season (November – January): the weather tends to be pleasantly dry and cool during this season. The average temperature is 19 degrees Celsius (66.2F). In December and January meditators are advised to bring warm clothes, such as sweaters, shawls, hats, sleeping bags, etc., since the temperatures can drop to single digits during the night although it is quite warm during the day.
