Dhamma Dhānī (City of Dhamma). Vipassana Meditation, where the headquarters of the Foundation for the Promotion of Vipassana Meditation under the patronage of His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand is located, is the fourth Vipassana center in Thailand to offer courses in Vipassana Meditation as taught by S.N. Goenka in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin. The center held its first 10-day course in March 2005.
Dhamma Dhānī is located on a 0.7-acre block of land at K. C. Garden Home on Nimitmai Road, Klong Sam Wa, a suburb of Bangkok. Surrounded by the peace and tranquility of a large, lightly populated plain, the center comprises a two-storey building with a lake at its back and is cooled by the surrounding trees within the compound and rice fields of the subdivision.
Currently offering 1-day, 3-day, 10-day, Executive and Children's Courses, Dhamma Dhānī can accommodate 98 participants -- 19 males and 79 females.
